Julie Kenner, MD PhD is a board-certified dermatologist, lifelong scientist and founder of Viva Carmel. With over 20 years of experience, she blends medical, surgical, cosmetic and regenerative dermatology with a holistic and integrative mindset.

She has a gift for treating conditions that impact emotional well-being – aging, acne, hair loss, rosacea and pigmentation – and takes a whole-person approach that supports skin health, energy, sleep and mental clarity.

Dr. Kenner launched SkinHappy® – and later Viva Carmel – to bring personalized, science-based care to people ready to look and feel their best.

With a passion for healthy, glowing skin, Naddyia brings years of hands-on experience to every treatment. She specializes in acne, anti-aging, and relaxation therapies, combining technical skill with a warm, personal touch.

Her goal is simple — to help you achieve visible results while creating space for rest and renewal. Whether you’re managing breakouts, boosting brightness, or simply taking a moment for yourself, you’ll leave your appointment feeling refreshed and empowered.

Board-Certified Physician Assistant

A Monterey local and licensed PA, Daniella Burnam-Torrente blends clinical expertise with a compassionate, whole-person approach to skin health. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from California State University, Monterey Bay and began her career as a phlebotomist at a local trauma center – a role that ignited her love for patient care and hands-on procedures.

With a background in psychology, Daniella is especially attuned to the ways mental wellness and skin health intersect. She’s drawn to dermatology for its unique mix of science, aesthetics, and impact – and she brings an artistic eye to every treatment. Outside of the clinic, you’ll find her painting, exploring the outdoors, and enjoying life with her family.
